Why I understand this moment
I spent more than 15 years building my own career in international corporations, working across engineering, quality, and leadership roles.
During that time I experienced many of the decisions professionals eventually face — promotions, role changes, and strategic moves across organizations.
From the outside those careers often look successful.
Yet internally many professionals begin to question whether their role, energy, and direction still fit who they are becoming.
That question became central in my own journey as well.
Today, as a Career Alignment Coach & Counsellor, I support international professionals in the Netherlands in stepping back, reconnecting with what matters, and choosing their next career move with clarity and intention.

It brings structure to a process that often feels confusing — helping you see what needs attention now and what your next step could be.
Four stages many professionals move through when realigning their career.

The work is identifying where you are now.
ADAPT — Understand what has changed
You step back and assess what is really happening in your career right now — your energy, responsibilities, environment, and expectations.
This stage helps you understand where the tension is coming from and what needs attention before making any decisions.
ALIGN — Reconnect with what truly fits
You clarify your strengths, values, and motivations, and explore how your career can better reflect who you are now.
This stage brings clarity about the kind of work, role, and direction that genuinely fits you.
ADVANCE — Turn clarity into action
With clearer direction, you identify the opportunities, conversations, and decisions that can move your career forward.
Sometimes this means reshaping your current role.
Sometimes it means preparing for a new opportunity.
ACHIEVE — Build sustainable career growth
You strengthen the foundations that support long-term alignment — visibility, relationships, and intentional career decisions.
This stage helps ensure your career continues to grow in a way that remains aligned over time.
You walk away with greater clarity about where you are in your career, what needs attention, and what your next step could be.
Sometimes that means reshaping your current role. Sometimes it means exploring a new direction.
In both cases, the goal is the same: a career that continues to evolve in alignment with who you are.
Most professionals move through these stages more than once in their career.
